Awarded to the documentary that has had the most impact in helping build a more sustainable future for people and planet, for example by driving political, corporate, social or individual behaviour change. Both feature and broadcast films are eligible.
This award recognizes filmmakers who use the power of feature-length films to engage audiences with key issues within the UN Sustainable Development Goals, both social and environmental. This year, the jury has decided to present the award to two very different films – one a powerful docu-feature from Canada and the other a feature film from Kenya.
