From creating cultural IPs to advancing education technology, their work aligns seamlessly with tve’s mission to inspire a sustainable future.

Their powerful film, Above the Clouds, Among the Mountains, earned the prestigious Trustees’ Award at the 2024 Global Sustainability Film Awards, celebrating its cultural impact and storytelling excellence.

YOUNG FILMMAKER SHORT FILM AWARD

Awarded to the best film under 30 minutes on a sustainability issue by a filmmaker under the age of 35, with a focus on films that bring to light underrepresented voices or issues.

GREENNER LIVING SHORT FILM AWARD

Awarded to the film under 30 minutes that best inspires to adopt nature-based solutions to mitigate the threat of climate change and biodiversity loss.

TRANSFORMING SOCIETY SHORT FILM AWARD

Awarded to the film under 30 minutes that highlights initiatives or ideas to transform society and the way we live to become more sustainable and just world, for example through changes in our economic model, the way we grow our food, consume and work, govern our societies, or build our cities and other infrastructure.

CORPORATES AND BUSINESSES IN SUSTAINABILITY CATEGORY

Awarded to the film under 30 minutes that best explains how a business/ corporate organisation can help in mitigating the pressing global sustainability challenges. This category specifically celebrates the work and effort of businesses (small, medium or large) in the field of sustainability.

DOCUMENTARY IMPACT AWARD

Awarded to the documentary that has had the most impact in helping build a more sustainable future for people and planet, for example by driving political, corporate, social or individual behaviour change. Both feature and broadcast films are eligible.

FOUNDERS AWARD

This award recognizes filmmakers who use the power of feature-length films to engage audiences with key issues within the UN Sustainable Development Goals, both social and environmental. This year, the jury has decided to present the award to two very different films – one a powerful docu-feature from Canada and the other a feature film from Kenya.
